This Lord of the Rings Sauron pen is absolutely stunning. It truly is a timeless collector’s piece, especially for my fellow fantasy nerds. It writes beautifully straight out of the box and I had no issues with the ink skipping. The weight of the pen feels just right and sits comfortably in my hand making longer writing sessions feel easy and effortless.

This pen far exceeds my expectations. The green lacquer is infused with lovely glistening sparkles. The cap band is neatly engraved and so is the section and nib. I love the Calligraphy nib for expressive writing. It is smooth and has a crisp fine line or if you change the angle it has a lovely bold line. The pen quality is quite good and the finish is exceptional. I look forward to using this pen for many years.

I was conflicted about getting a Sauron pen, but I really wanted a LOTR pen and this red is SO RICH AND PRETTY. OMG. I really love that it's an ever so slightly brown leaning deep red. There are wee shimmer specks that really make it shine. The nib is beautiful, and I love getting the bonus calligraphy/fude nib, which is so much fun to use! The section where the nib connects to the barrel is so cool and subtle with Sauron's helmet and the gates of Mordor. It writes beautifully, has a lovely weight to it, is on the thinner side, but not too thin, and is really classy while being super nerdy.

The hidden deepness of the red was not a surprise but the hint here and there of the sparkle of gold was pleasant and not overwhelming.

This is by far my most beautiful fountain pen. I immediately switched to the calligraphy nib and I plan on making it the pen I hand-write letters and thank-you notes with. For a Lord of the Rings fan who also enjoys fountain pens, this is the pen for you!

This pen is my favorite color in this series. The quality, fit, and finish of this pen is equal to pens I have used that run double the price or more. The writing experience is smooth and comfortable with no hand fatigue. I have been a fan of the books and movies for decades, and the aesthetic choices here for representation are absolutely phenomenal. I highly recommend this to anyone who is a fan of L.O.T.R. and also anyone who enjoys fine writing implements. You will not be disappointed.

I've never purchased an expensive fountain pen before, mostly due to the cost. I also don't know enough about fountain pens to know the benefits of a fine pen. However, when I saw this pen on kickstarter, I realized I found the best pen ever. I was right. Even if I never used this pen for anything other than decoration, it would still be the best pen ever. The etching is beautiful, the shade of green and the subtle shimmer are beautiful, the ring is beautiful, etc. It also writes smoothly, even with shimmer ink. I keep it on my desk and use it whenever I need a pen for something. I want to take it with me and use it everywhere, but I can't risk losing "my precious." It also comes with a full bottle of ink and a beautifully decorated box. I want the Gandalf pen as well, if I had that one I probably would take it everywhere with me.

Of the 3 LOTR FWP inks, this I was the most hesitant to purchase because I'm not really a red ink person, however, this is by far the MOST IMPRESSIVE of the 3! This IS Mordor in a bottle! Morbidly dark, deep, burgundy red that honestly looks like black-red than red and I swear looks almost like dried blood! The gold shimmer is excellent as it looks like the burning fires and embers of Mordor both in swatch and writing. Well done FWP! Sauron would definitely approve!

This is a great silver. Nice for lettering

The pictures and mock-ups from the Kickstarter campaign simply did not do these pens justice! The LOTR collection is stunning, FWP did a great job with the details of the Gandalf pen and ink collection, from the Elvish script on the cap's golden ring to the Gandalf inspired engravings on the grip section. I love, love, love everything about it! The Dawning Silver ink is reminiscent of April Showers, which is one of my all-time FWP favorite inks, so I love it! Can't wait to break out the lettering booklet and practice my Elvish script!!!

Very deep but beautiful gray. A lot of silver shimmer. I am looking forward to give this to my LOTR loving, pen enthusiast friend.

I love these pens! The metal bodies give a good feel and imparts a great sense of balance. Writing is effortless and the ink flow is good with a consistency to be envied by others!

I do have one concern, the Gandalf pen may have an issue. I have attached a photo that should explain my concern. The pen still writes quite well, but it seems off. The other two pens do not have that issue. Any feedback would be appreciated.
