Wondrous Winterberry

I use this to paint, and it adds a really nice shimmer to a berry toned red.

Going off the image on the site when I bought this, I expected a more true red than what I got. It's definitely a beautiful ink, and honestly, probably far better for regular use than I thought it would be due to its darker color. Still, it's a burgundy/brownish type of red, which looks nothing like the swatch on the website.

I was afraid this ink would be too bright for regular use, but it is a more sedate red, deep but with a hint of maroon. The shimmer lasted about 4 full lines before it died out and it could be refreshed with rolling the pen in my hands for a few seconds. It did not do well in my F-C fine nib and seemed to clog completely, but the medium nib on my Worcester did beautifully (see below). I only wish my photo showed the shimmer better.
