Once Upon a Design

Notable design details:

  • A bake-danuki, a mischievous Japanese raccoon dog yōkai, proudly leads the way, followed by a supernatural warrior known as a tengu wielding a protective spear, and a bakeneko, a cat spirit, happily nibbling on a sweet treat in the shape of a fish known as taiyaki.
  • The onibi, like will-o'-the-wisps, flare brilliantly in the darkness of the night.
  • Watch out for the lanterns! Some are actually chōchin-obake, distinguished by their mischievous eye and mouth.

Shimmer is Ehh

I've let the shimmer settle to the bottom and swatched, and like the color without the shimmer. But to each their own, still a nice color.

Hot Flames Glowing

Orange is not a color I gravitate to! But this pen newbie has discovered an array of orange inks that opened my eye. This new launch ink reminds me of those pumpkin patches, pumpkin pie and the crackling embers of a fire on a cold night with the glowing oranges. Very lovely orange inks with sprinkles of rose gold shimmer. Nice for summer into the fall season. Will repurchase but in a bigger bottle.

Unique

I really like this warm, reddish-orange. It’s unlike any other color I have, and I can see myself using it a lot in the autumn. FWP says the shimmer is “wine” colored but I would call it more of a peach. Unique either way.
