How to Fill, Clean & Care for Your Pen
Filling Your Pen
- To fill your Masque Fountain Pen, begin by unscrewing the barrel from the grip section to access the converter.
- Fully submerge the nib and feeder into your fountain pen ink, then twist the converter to draw ink into the reservoir until the piston reaches its top position.
- Remove the nib from the bottle, wipe away any excess ink, and reassemble the pen.
Your Masque is now ready to write.
Changing Ink Colours
- When changing colours, we recommend thoroughly cleaning your pen before refilling.
- Draw clean water into the converter and expel it repeatedly through the nib and feed until the water runs clear.
- Allow all components to dry completely before introducing a new ink colour.
Ongoing Care & Maintenance
- For heavily saturated, darker, shimmering, or pigmented inks, regular use and periodic cleaning will help maintain optimal performance.
- If ink flow becomes restricted, soak the nib and feed in clean water overnight before flushing again.
- For long-term storage, thoroughly clean and dry your pen and store it upright whenever possible to help minimize ink drying within the nib and feed.
