  1. DO NOT post the cap onto your pen when writing. Our pen has been designed and balanced to write with the cap un-posted
  2. The threads of the cap are brass and risk damaging the lacquer if you post the cap
  3. Store pen vertically with the tip pointing upwards when not in use to minimize clogs; routine flushing and maintenance recommended, especially with sparkling inks

Filling your Joule Fountain Pen

  1. Unwind the grip from the barrel of the pen to reveal the converter
  2. Pull the converter off of the grip assembly
  3. Clean your nib and converter by rinsing it in cold water until water runs clear
  4. If the pen has not been in use for a few weeks, you may need to submerge the nib for an hour to loosen up the ink
  5. Air dry the nib and converter and reassemble when fully dry
  6. Twist the end knob until the piston is fully depressed
  7. Submerge the entire nib into the ink, and SLOWLY twist the piston to draw the ink until the converter is fully extended

Love it!

I just got my new fountain pen, and I love it! It's stylish and feels great to hold. The nib writes smoothly, and there are no issues with skipping. The ink flows perfectly, making writing easy and fun. This pen is now my favorite for notes and journaling. Highly recommend it!

Nice!

This is a very nice pen, and it looks classy. It writes well—no hard starts, smooth with a bit of feedback. I like it.

Damaged

I was really excited to receive this pen but was so disappointed when I took it out of the sleeve. I believe the dye came off the leather and onto the pen. I've tried to lightly rub it off but it seems really stained. I'm afraid to do anything more aggressive as I don't want to damage the pen. I haven't inked it up to try it out, as I"m waiting for customer service to get back to me. I wrote them on the 22nd. I'm wondering if it's taking longer to respond because of Lunar New Year; however, I've had some gnarly experiences with customer service before. Given the price point of this pen, I'm really hoping I'll be sent a replacement. Not great lightning for the photos but you're def able to see the markings.
